Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture
1982-2006
Perspectives in Vernacular Architecture was the official
publication of the Vernacular Architecture Forum until 2006, when
the VAF Board of Directors voted to change its name to Buildings
& Landscapes. For nearly a quarter-century, from 1982 to
2006, PVA published the finest scholarship in vernacular architecture
and cultural landscape studies. Volumes I through X, which were
published in book form every two to three years, drew from the best
papers delivered at the VAF’s Annual Conferences; beginning with
Volume XI, the series was converted to an annual journal with open
submissions.
